Forensic Audit of Rancho's Books
Posted on Mar 16th, 2018 Comments (0)
The Rancho San Rafael Community Association has been audited annually by an outside auditor; the report has always been mailed to each homeowner on a timely basis and is also available for viewing on this website.  As a result of the demands of Brian Song since late 2016 and Sharon Lew and Aeron Shin in October 2017 demanding that the Board investigate the Wilson Maintenance transactions, the Board approved hiring a forensic accountant at an initial expense of $15,000 to $20,000.

This is in addition to the three claims Brian Song has filed previously:

07/11/2016  Los Angeles County Consumer & Business Affairs, Case #DR16-07387, no action required

10/19/2016 Glendale Police Department, Financial Crimes Unit, Case DR 16-15902, case closed on 04/25/2017.  Detective Steve Kim: "I am respectfully advising all parties not to use the police department to leverage one's own position and to give the illusion of substantiating their own accusations by merely getting the police involved."

Safety Awareness Fair
Saturday, June 23rd, 2018, 1:30 - 4:30 at at the Rec Center
The Community Relations Committee and the Security Committee are jointly co-sponsoring the first Rancho Safety Awareness Fair! We will be joined by experts in many fields as well as community First Responders to help us understand the ways we can prepare for personal safety and home security.

*Do you know how to ‘baby proof’ your home and which products are best?
* Do you know how to prepare your school-age child for a post-earthquake scenario?
* Do you know which products are best to include in a home or car earthquake survival kit? * Do you know how to prepare your children for bullies and give them tools to respond?
* Do you know how to protect yourself and your family with some basic self-defense tactics? * Do you know how to detect or respond to a gas or carbon monoxide leak in your home?
* Do you know what to do if you encounter a dangerous animal on or near your street?
* Do you know how to protect yourself and your family online (cyber security)?
* Do you know how to select the right home security lighting and cameras?

Rancho Community Relations & Security Committees will provide information on all of this!
We encourage you to join us for this informative and interactive event.
We have TWO SPECIAL CLASSES that will be offered and require ADVANCED SIGN UPS to ensure we have room for all participants:
3:30 – 4:00 PM: ANTI-BULLY SAFETY CLASS (all ages, especially younger children)
4:00 – 4:30 PM: BASIC SELF DEFENSE CLASS (all ages, including adults)

These special classes will be provided here by Fred Villari’s Karate Studio of Montrose.
